Palm Beach Nilaveli is located on serene shores away from the noise and bustle of city life. Rated amongst Sri Lanka's best coastline**, Nilaveli village is nestled in the north-east of the island and faces the Indian Ocean.

**Lonely Planet 2014

Palm Beach Nilaveli offers an experience of comfort amongst the charms of coastal living. Guests are housed in individual air-conditioned cabanas, each with their own ensuite. From their verandah, visitors can view the UNESCO-protected Pigeon Island, ideal for a day-trip spent snorkelling amongst tropical fish or trekking the island's lush jungle. In support of eco-conservation, Palm Beach plays host to indigenous bird species migrating between seasons.

Nearby attractions include the ancient rock fortress, Sigiriya, home to frescos painted over a thousand years ago. Located a 90 minutes drive away, Sigiriya is Sri Lanka's most highly-visited heritage site. Other destinations providing insights into history and culture are the inland cities of Anuradhapura, Dambulla and Polanaruwa, each within driving distance. Those seeking a new experience are encouraged to take scuba-diving lessons at the local diving school before venturing out by Pigeon Island.

Whilst the menu varies daily, subject to the sea's yield, our chef's specialties are curried crab and lobster. Other local delicacies available to guests include pittu (steamed rice flour and coconut) and appam (savoury fermented pancakes).

At Palm Beach Nilaveli, the ebb and flow of the ocean is an invitation to all. Immerse yourself in our way of life.
